Yeah, like I never really had that

No really, well I can't remember the time of the Easter Bunny

That is generally because people make the eggs in the first place. It is hard to believe in an easter bunny when you are producing the things you will later find.
For some reason the easter bunny mythology doesn't have as much depth either. Stephen Colbert recently added some though "I seem to remember the part in the Bible where Jesus rides out of the cave on the back of a bunny laying colored eggs (the bunny, not Jesus)".

Well, my experience with Santa (and Sinterklaas here in Belgium) was exactly the same, I got to choose what I wanted from a very young age and was very aware that the gift came from mom and dad or grandma because they would say what the budget for their gift was, it was still wrapped and I did get other surprises but I always knew it was a real person buying and giving and not an imaginary benefactor.
Oh and Colbert is great!
