Perhaps too soon

Perhaps it is too soon to comment on this but I want certain aspects of this to be remembered.

Maddie's mother declared 'suspect'

The mother of missing British four-year-old Madeleine McCann will be formally declared a suspect today, a spokeswoman the family said.

Remember that they spent time in church from the very first day of Maddie's disappearance and that they even went all the way to the pope for religious help in finding their daughter.  I have also read that they brought in psychics.
None of them even hinted at this possibility, all the while atheists were attacked  for being insensitive because we found it strange that they were letting their children alone while going out to the restaurant.
